Schoolyard vibes have hit Bondi Beach with the launch of the Mambo tuckshop. As reported, the surf brand’s pop-up has brought together some of Sydney’s favourite foodie talent (including Pinbone’s Mike Eggert and Jemma Whiteman and Bourke Street Bakery) to curate a selection of canteen favourites, albeit with a gourmet twist. There’s the likes of a Devon Sandwich (with Devon from LP’s Quality Meats), aBeef and ‘Mambomite’ Pie and Warrigal Greens and Ricotta Vegie Rolls, and for the sweet tooths a Macadamia and Wattleseed Vanilla Slice. The pop-up will only last the Australia Day long weekend, so better get your skates on and drop in to try the takeaway bites for yourself before it’s gone.
