And it’s heading to Moore Park.

Suffering from a sweet tooth? Well move as far away from Sydney’s Moore Park as you possible can. Shortly there will be a handful of the harbour city’s favourite sweet creators descending on the district as a part of the inaugural EatSummer Twilight Food Market, which will land November 18.

Held in the Entertainment Quarter from 3-10pm, the food festival will gather a collection of leading chefs from across Sydney’s restaurants. And that includes its best dessert destinations, with a designated ‘dessert alley’ setting up shop. The sweet street will be spearheaded by Christopher The of Black Star Pastry, who will shortly welcome a new outpost at the Entertainment Quarter for the beloved Sydney cake store. Joining him will be Enmore’s award-winning Cow and the Moon gelateria, Nutie gourmet donuts, Truffula Sweetery, and Fratelli Fresh (with its famous bannoffee pie). Marrickville’s Barzaari will serve loukoumades, a Turkish-Cypriot donut ball sprinkled with orange blossom and pistachio, andhe Ice Apothecary will add a popsicle cart to the mix.

It’s a celebration of both Sydney’s food scene and the burgeoning Moore Park area. “I think this is one of those areas of Sydney that’s going to start taking off,” says Christopher The of Black Star’s new home. “We like to go into areas that are on the verge of building up. We did that with our other places in Newtown and Rosebery and we feel the same way about Moore Park. What’s going on here is very exciting for us.”

Event organiser Rebecca Fox believes the market’s mix of sweet and savoury dishes will make the night an unmissable one. “The range of cuisines and the options we have are incredible,” she says. “This will be the one place in Sydney where you can get a wide range of restaurant-quality food one location without having to drive all over town.”

It’s not just food that will be available to punters, but drinks from the likes of Estrella Dram, Tyrrell’s Wines, Vodka O, Tequila Blu, Untold Rum, VDKA 6100 O., and Archie Rose Distilling Co. will all be in attendance. Four bars are expected to operate under the fig trees of Heritage Park, with two DJs and a singer confirmed for the night’s accompanying entertainment.

Tickets to EatSummer can be purchased now online.
