It’s the end of another grape harvest and after months of careful picking and crushing, the time has come to celebrate with a glass of the 2019 vintage, poured straight from the demijohn.

This year for the first time, Adelaide Hills winery Unico Zelo will be opening up their end of harvest celebrations to the wine-drinking public.

“While we’ve usually kept our end of harvest celebrations within the Unico family, this year we wanted to throw a big fun, friendly party that involved the community that’s important to us. This party is about building up South Australia as a whole, something we’re really passionate about,” says Brendan Carter, co-founder and director of Unico.

As a special treat, partygoers will be able to taste an early glass of the 2019 Unico Zelo Fiano or Nero D’avola, almost a year before the bottles will end up hitting the shelves.

Also invited to the party will be local distillery Never Never Gin, who will be shaking things up with craft cocktails, along with Lobo Cider and Little Bang Brewing Co. Tastings and masterclasses will be held throughout the evening, allowing you to sample the complete range of brands.

A retro soundtrack will be supplied by Skin Contact DJs, with a live band taking to the stage later in the night. Those with artistic flair (or simply a full glass) are invited to contribute to the masterpiece that is Unico’s wine-splashed Pollock wall.
