And it's already causing a meltdown.

In queso you hadn’t heard, Aldi has just released an authentic French fondue cheese for the un-brie-lievable price of just $4.99.

The Normande Cheese Fondue is made from three Normandy cheeses, including Camembert, Pont l’Eveque and Livarot, with dash of cider and Calvados – a traditional apple brandy from Normandy.

No need to bring out the fondue set, simply microwave the tub for two minutes and serve with fresh bread and crackers and you’re good to go.

Aldi Buying Director Shane Aitken said: “This Fondue comes from Normandy, a region of France that’s been making fondue for hundreds of years and is known for its fine dairy products. Our customers will be able to taste that heritage and quality. We are excited to offer our customers such a specialty product and hope shoppers can indulge themselves in an afternoon of soul-warming fondue this winter.”

The Normande Cheese Fondue is available to purchase across all Aldi stores nationwide from Friday 30 July for just $4.99.
