Here’s some news that will get your dog’s tail wagging. Dessert queen Anna Polyviou has launched a Doggy Afternoon Tea at The Langham Sydney and all your four-legged friends are invited.

Anna Polyviou, who is a proud dog mum herself, has crafted the special canine menu, which includes sweet and savoury treats, from a roast chicken and cucumber wrap to a nigiri-style salmon on rice, and steak tartare with egg yolk and micro herbs. If you’re lucky, you’re dog might leave you some. Better start working on those puppy eyes now.

From the sweet side of the menu, bone cookies, carrot cake and peanut butter tarts will have you and your dog salivating.

“When you walk into The Langham, Sydney, you immediately feel special, and I wanted my doggy daughter Anca to have that same feeling,” Executive Pastry Chef Anna Polyviou said.

“Humans eat with their eyes and doggies eat with their tummies, and I wanted to create a menu that looked and tasted as good for doggies as it would for humans. Dogs are just as special and deserve to be spoilt,” she added.

The Doggy Afternoon Tea can be enjoyed by both pooch and pet parent alongside the traditional Afternoon Tea in the hotel lobby lounge.

The Doggy Afternoon Tea menu is available from Monday, May 15 to Sunday,  October 29, 2023. It’s priced at $38 per pup. Places are strictly limited and must be booked a minimum of 24 hours in advance. Bone appetit!
