Where it's Dry July, Feb Fast and Sober October all year round.

Those who have made certain promises to their liver this January will be pleased to learn that Scottish craft brewer BrewDog has just opened the world’s first alcohol-free bar in London, with a view to rolling out the concept in key locations around the world.

Called BrewDog AF (for “alcohol-free”), the bar serves only alcohol-free bevvies, with a line-up that includes 15 alcohol-free craft beers on tap, sober spirits like Seedlip, Aecorn Apéritifs and Caleño, as well as kombucha and cider.

BrewDog co-founder James Watt said: “Drinkers opting for low or no alcohol are in danger of compromising on quality, taste and experience. And that’s just the beer – forget about places in which to enjoy it. We are going to change that. We exist to be a point of difference, and our first BrewDog AF Bar is just that. It is a beacon for anyone in London after an alcohol-free alternative.”

Proving that you can still have fun without booze, BrewDog AF will host a program of events, from bingo to karaoke, that is, if you can handle remembering all the painful details the next day.

The bar will also serve food,  including the usual burgers and wings, as well as fresh salads and wholesome plates, for those not ordering under the influence.

BrewDog AF Bar opens on January 6, 2020, at The Bower, 211 Old Street, London. You can also try BrewDog alcohol-free craft beer (as well as the boozy variety) at the new BrewDog brewery and taproom in Brisbane. For more details, head to brewdog.com.
