And two new dates have just been added.

Executive Chef Tony Su of Michelin-Starred T’ang Court in Shanghai has touched down at the Gold Coast, bringing one of the world’s best dining experiences to the sunny shores of the Sunshine Coast for a very special eight-night residency at The Langham Hotel.

From February 24 until March 3, ‘An Evening with Tony Su’ will showcase the lauded chef’s outstanding talent and precision that has earned him global recognition.

The residency is a rare opportunity for Australians to get a taste of Su’s highly seasonal Cantonese dishes through a tasting menu of signature dishes from T’ang Court, honed over the chef’s 30 year career.

The eight-course experience includes dishes like Cantonese-style braised crab claw wrapped in cuttlefish; wagyu beef with black truffle and local mushrooms; and crisp, fried scallops garnished with caviar.

The sensory dinner extends beyond the plate, however, with optional wine pairings available, and large-format artworks by Chinese-Australian artist Lindy Lee setting the scene.

The interiors take their cues from the Tang Dynasty, China’s golden age, with sculptural lantern-like drop lights and plush imperial-style seating in royal blue.

Celebrated for his well-earned reputation in luxury venues including, Four Seasons Hotel Shanghai and Cordis Hongqiao, Su approaches Cantonese traditions with a uniquely philosophical lens. His food is influenced by an unending curiosity about the distinctiveness of each region’s culinary traditions, and views of food as a reflection of customs, climate, history, and cultural practices.

‘An Evening with Chef Tony Su’ will run from February 24 to March 3. Tickets start at $275 per person and can be booked at The Langham Gold Coast website.
