Award-winning Dante will be partnering with Rockpool.
Love yourself a negroni? Then you’ll be beside yourself to hear that the drinking den behind New York City’s most beloved take on the traditional cocktail is making its way Down Under. Dante, the Greenwich Village favourite, will soon make its way to Australia as a part of a fortnight-long residency across various Rockpool restaurants.
Why the collaboration? Well Dante’s co-owner Linden Pride was once Rockpool’s bar manager and is a longtime friend of Neil Perry. In celebration of twenty years-worth of friendship and collaboration, the duo have crafted a pop-up tour that will see the historic restaurant bar land for a week in both Sydney and Melbourne, treating locals to the Big Apple’s drinkable delights. It’s an operation assisted by Qantas and Airbnb who will be taking care of transport and accommodation for the Dante team.

The fortnight’s worth of activities incorporate a series of different drinking sessions, from a negroni session to a martini hour, allowing visitors to sip on the drinks that made the bar famous. While paying homage to the European tradition of each tipple, each cocktail features a Dante twist on the classic.
The residency will kick-off in Sydney on Sunday May 5 and Melbourne Monday May 13. The event will be off to a strong start with a welcome party to be hosted in both capitals, where cocktails will flow and guests will be treated to snacks courtesy of Perry, all the while DJ Andrew Levins will entertain the crowd.

Both bookings and walk-ins are welcome to the Dante residency. Tickets can be booked for Melbourne online and Sydney via (02) 8099 7089.
