While Nina Gravelis may have moved on from her time at Potts Point’s Fratelli Fresh, she hasn’t moved far. Having sold Fratelli’s to Urban Purveyor Group in November last year Nina has just welcomed abc restaurant & bar to the site formerly occupied by Missy French, around the corner from the Fratelli’s space.

The menu on offer will be a reunion of sorts, with the kitchen to be led by former Fratelli head chef Sean Corkery. It’s a menu that is intended to be casual, perfect for a mid-week bite. “I’ve always been really fond of this area and when this site became available I thought it was a great opportunity to try something a bit more casual … the kind of place that people will want to eat at two or three times a week,” Nina told The Daily Telegraph. The eatery is equally casual in design approach, with the industrial eatery decked out with plenty of exposed brick and dark wood.

2017 looks set to be a big year for Nina and her team, with the budding restaurateur recently welcoming New York-deli inspired Benjamin and Daughters to Double Bay.
