Over the last two decades, Messina has created some 4,000 odd gelato specials. Some were absolute winners, like Fairy Bread and Finger Bun, while others, well, let’s just say they didn’t quite take off (Nacho Libre and Roast Chicken Sorbet – we’re looking at you).

This year, the top 20 flavours will be released for pre-order in pints but in higher quantities – meaning there’s way more of the most popular flavours to go around. The remaining flavours will drop in stores as weekly specials. Plus, for the first time, Perth and Adelaide will be included in the annual event.

Specials will be released on the Messina Instagram, so keep your eyes peeled.

The first 20 line-up has been released and includes some true classics like get baked, NYC plus, you make me unicorny, cinnamon cone crunch, a salt on the senses, and red velvet, to cult favourites like you cannoli live once, have a gay old time, Robert Blondie Jr, Messina’s Momofukup and more.

Messina’s greatest hits will be available as a takeaway tub, for pre-order and pick-up only.
