Sandwiches will never be the same.
Move over raspberry gin jam, the latest ginfusion to hit the pantry is a squirtable gin mayonnaise.
The clever condiment started life at Amsterdam seafood restaurant, Mossel & Gin, where it quickly graduated from menu item to mass-produced dressing.
While originally served with fish and chips, its potential uses don’t end there, with the website suggesting a host of other applications, from burgers and wraps to sushi and grilled chicken to name a few – basically anywhere you think would benefit from a creamy hit of gin.
The kitchen condiment is made from classic mayonnaise ingredients (think oil, vinegar, salt, sugar and mustard) finished with a 5% splash of Bobby’s Dry Gin which gives it an ABV of 2%, so please, go easy on the sandwiches.
Gin Mayo is available to purchase online from ginmayo-online.com where it sells for $3.75 per 170ml tube. It’s worth noting that the minimum order for delivery is 48 tubes, which we don’t imagine will be a problem.
