Now in its milestone 30th year, the Haymarket dining institution is making big moves. After the arrival of sister restaurant XOPP in Darling Square’s Exchange Building, Golden Century has announced its latest installation: the Wine Bank.

Head to the top level of XOPP to find the dedicated Golden Century Wine Bank, home to some seriously impressive drops. Along with the extensive wine list, you’ll also find a dedicated kitchen and sleek areas to lounge about with a drink in hand.

At the helm is Sydney-based grape guru Jon Osbeiston (Bel & Brio). Take in the visually striking wall of wine, responsible for housing over 1500 bottles inside high-tech Vintec wine fridges. There are also over 600 rare and vintage drops, with guests invited to store their own prized bottles in the cellar for safekeeping. Those looking for something stronger will be spoilt for choice by a generous list of international spirits and whiskeys.

Courtesy of the expansion, the venue can now seat an additional 180 guests, taking the overall capacity to a whopping 650. The space can be configured into 8 different dining rooms, perfect for private functions. Guests can order dishes from the a la carte and banquet menu, with all the cult-classics available including live seafood and pipis smothered in XO sauce.
