The lauded chef is celebrating his Italian heritage with new bar Mallozzi.

The two-level space consists of a bevy of different seating options. There’s a long bar surrounded by stools, smaller tables, banquette eating space, and a bonus underground drinking den. Within the bar, you’ll be able to sip on a selection of wines chosen by Lau, most of which are Italian by birth or varietal. There’s also a range of Italian spirits, aperitifs and digestifs to choose from for those so inclined.
Drinks come accompanied by a lengthy array of bar snacks. There are small plates and plates of pasta, as well as an impressive charcuterie situation, where the meats and cheeses available are available by weight.
Mallozzi’s intention? It’s a simple one. “We’re a lively Italian wine bar on Rundle Street in Adelaide, Australia. We also serve delicious Italian snacks,” the duo explain on the Facebook page.
