The cult pastry brand will roll-out its flaky delight around Melbourne shortly.

Melbourne’s Lune Croissanterie may be one of the most renowned pastry creators in the nation. The baby of Kate Reid, Lune was opened first in 2012 in a petite space that shortly amassed a cult-following. Such was the popularity of Kate’s pastries that the business moved in 2015 to a much larger space, that saw her partner with brother Cam and hospitality guru (and multi-cafe owner) Nathan Toleman.

Lune Croissanterie’s Fitzroy venue was one the only spot to procure a beloved pastry creation of Kate’s but that’s now set to change with the news that Lune will be offering a wholesale option to a select group of Melbourne cafes. The chosen ones include Cumulus Inc., Higher Ground, The Kettle Black, and Top Paddock, who will each receive a fresh batch of pastry every morning, seven days a week.

Not only does this offer ample croissant access for those who do not live within Fitzroy’s borders, but a chance to fulfill pastry cravings on Tuesdays and Wednesdays – days that traditionally see Lune shut its doors. As for what customers will be able to nibble on – the chosen cafes will receive a delivery that includes twice-baked almond croissants, lemon-curd cruffins, and the traditional croissant.
