Fire up the group chat and ready your food feed, everyone’s favourite pop-Asian diner is opening a smoke-fuelled pop-up restaurant in the Melbourne CBD.
Beloved Windsor institution and bestower of countless vibey pink-hued cocktail pics, Mr. Miyagi, is teaming up with QT Melbourne for a smoke and fire-fuelled restaurant pop-up this winter.

For six weeks, from June 30 to August 14, Mr Miyagi in the Big Smoke will serve up a new, limited edition menu of delectable, smoky delights from QT Melbourne’s Hot Sauce Laneway event space.

The menu features Mr. M’s take on smoked salmon to start, served with a cloud of smoke because #drama. Larger dishes include: Togorashi lamb chop with edamame and pea smash with shiso dressing, smoked sticky soy scotch with a smoky glaze, shichimi spice, white ginger and sesame; Japanese style rockling tortilla with housemade nori soft tortilla, yuzu yoghurt, grilled shishito peppers and shiso salt, and the decidedly show-stopping Hickory smoked miso caramel coal.

To complement the new pop-up menu, QT Melbourne Bar Manager Joshua Hampshire has created an epic cocktail list using Japanese spirits from House of Suntory. Among them, the hero Golden Gai cocktail, which is a theatrical, modern twist on the classic Manhattan.
