Supernormal’s lobster rolls delivered to your door? Sign us up.

They’re tried puppies and gelato deliveries, and now Uber, the ride service, will bring dinner to your door.

UberEATS has launched in Melbourne, the third city after New York and Los Angeles to trial the service.

Joining established services Deliveroo and Foodora (previously Suppertime), UberEATS has some of Melbourne’s heavy hitters on board, including MasterChef judge George Calombaris. Two of his eateries, Gazi and Jimmy Grants, will be part of the trial, which starts today.

The menu from Andrew McConnell’s Supernormal is also available, including the famous New England lobster roll and chilli vinegar-doused dumplings.

Initial hours of operation will be from 11am till 10pm, seven days a week, with a delivery fee of $5 after the launch promotion (it’s initially free). Prices of the meals will be the same as the standard in-house menu items.

Raw sweet treats from Pana Chocolate (below) and gelato from Pidopipo Gelateria are also be on the menu.

The service launches today, with a dedicated app (don’t use your standard Uber one) available on iOS and Android.

Pana Chocolate Cakes can now be delivered, too.
