Wine may be a universal pleasure, but there are few vineyards that seem to accommodate the modern wine drinker. In an effort to provide a home for the contemporary vino fan, Tuck’s Ridge has erected a Summer Pop Up courtesy of new owners (and neighbours) Montalto Estate. The creators explain that the event series hopes to provide a playful winery experience that reflects the attitudes of a new generation of wine lovers. Traditions have been thrown out the window with the introduction of a series of modern takes on tastings, which include Fight Club (which sees two wines go head-to-head), Tuck’s 4 in 15 (a casual tasting out of doors) and Tuck’s Box (a pick-your-own wine and self-guided tour situation). There’s also been a revamp of the menu (for more casual fare beloved by Millenials), and a series of new seating areas – including a swinging platform that is very worthy of an Instagram or two.
