Bondi’s latest resident isn’t the subtle type. The Pacific Club Bondi Beach is the latest addition to the Pacific development, and is an all-day bar and restaurant which cost a rumoured $2 million to erect. Open since August 11, The Pacific Club Bondi Beach sits beachfront on Campbell Parade, and is a modern Australian venue that name checks its 2026 location from its dishes (largely seafood) to its murals (all vintage Bondi snaps).

Bret Cameron of Harvest Newrybar leads the charge when it comes to The Pacific Club’s kitchen. The menu is a celebration of local and Australian native produce, offering options for breakfast through dinner. Cameron’s kitchen is as open plan as they come, incorporating a customised wood fire grill that Cameron believes is integral to the menu’s dishes. “For me, cooking on an open flame makes me feel more in touch with nature. Working with fire allows me the freedom to extract such a diverse range of flavours that I’m excited to bring to Bondi,” he explains. The restaurant also boasts a raw bar where local seafood can be displayed, from Ballina prawns to Sydney rock oysters.

The Pacific Club Bondi Beach team is nothing short of impressive, consisting of award-winning sommelier Chris Morrison, who has created the wine programme, and Michael Chiem of PS40 and 2016 Australian Bartender of the Year in charge of the cocktail offering. The wine list is framed around the venue’s location, offering plenty of Australian vinos, accented by a handful of international drops so that every taste is catered to. The cocktail offering mirrors that of wine and fare, drawing on a plethora of native ingredients. “Bondi is free-flowing, light, colourful, playful and also well versed in exploring different tastes; our cocktail list captures the effervescent spirit of Bondi,” says Chiem.

The owners of the project collaborated with Michael McCann on the design in order to craft a space that embraces indoor and outdoor equally. Of course the restaurant’s setting of Bondi also provided ample inspiration for the build, and required the venue itself to be able to transition from day to night crowds easily. “Our lifestyles call for dining that is an extension of the way we live. With the open planned kitchen as its centrepiece, the ‘home away from home’ environment has drawn on whitewashed palettes, warm wooden textures, and finished with the polish of marble,” explains McCann of the design.

The Pacific offers ample outdoor, indoor, and bar seating to accommodate the Bondi crowds, with plenty of opportunities for larger groups or events to move in. The restaurant itself seats 100, including the 40 outside. While The Pacific currently operates from 7.00am to 11.00pm seven days a week, the extension of trading hours have been promised once summer arrives.
