First, there was Nomad's famous flatbread. Now meet the manoush.
The team from Nomad has just opened its new all-day eatery Beau & Dough in Surry Hills, with adjoining wine bar Beau Bar set to follow later this month.
Like the location, which is just around the corner from Nomad, the menu won’t stray far from the original, with a selection of Mediterranean small plates and wood-fired breads paired to an impressive lo-fi wine list.

And with three venues now, it will mean you’ll be sorted for every meal of the day.
Beau & Dough opens early with manoush, a Lebanese flatbread doused in oil and za’atar. The fragrant hot pocket can be ordered with toppings like labne, spiced lamb, Turkish sausage or served sweet with halva pistachio and honey. Turn it into a big breakfast with a manoush board, loaded with tomato, cucumber, pickles, labneh, sheep’s milk feta, olives and broken eggs. You’ll be able to get your morning coffee too, with the eatery serving a house blend roasted by Single O.

Come back to Beau & Dough for lunch for casual eats like the kofta wrap, blue eye trevalla fish burger and spiced chicken shawarma, alongside meze favourites like falafels with spiced hummus and fried cauliflower with zhug.
In the evening, Beau Bar will offer a playful menu of Mediterranean plates, with a focus on seafood and snacks. Highlights will include a seafood platter, raw fish tabouli with manoush crackers and flank steak with frites.
The wine list will highlight Australian producers, with experimental and boutique wines on tap. For something extra-special, there will also be unique cuvees from around the world.

Like any good wine bar, the by-the-glass options will be expansive and ever-changing to encourage you to visit often and drink widely.
The 50-seat space is positioned alongside a private laneway that connects Reservoir St and Foster St, where Nomad is located, and comes with a private rooftop for events. Smart Design has created a moody and refined interior with communal seating along a long central bar plus caramel banquette seating surrounding the room’s perimeter. An open kitchen will be front and centre, where you can watch chefs roll the dough and back manoush to order.
Beau & Dough is now open at 52 Reservoir St, Surry Hills with Beau Bar set to open on February 24. Head to Beau.Sydney for more details or to make a reservation.
