And yes, there's suckling pig sausage rolls.

You’ve seen Colin Fassnidge on Kitchen Nightmares, now you can catch the celebrity chef in the flesh and try his food first-hand at his new bistro, The Castlereagh by Fassnidge.

“We’re bringing quality pub-style food and service with character into the epicentre of the CBD,” the My Kitchen Rules host said.

“The venue was inspired by the charm and comfort of a community-oriented pub, where people recognise your face and beer order.”

The pub-style venue is located on level one of The Castlereagh, a historic inner-city building owned by the City Tattersalls Club.

Following a significant refurbishment, the dining room has been given a light and bright fit-out with rattan chairs, natural timber furnishings and fresh greenery.

Like at the Banksia Bistro and the Four in Hand, The Castlereagh serves up gastro-pub grub, including favourites like his suckling pig sausage roll and buttermilk chicken schnitzel with mushroom sauce.

Beyond the usual steaks and schnitties, diners can go in on hefty shared proteins, from a Ranger Valley Black Onyx tomahawk steak to a lamb shoulder with colcannon and whole baked fish with market vegetables and chips. Just one more reason to bring everyone you know.
