Forgetti about the spaghetti, a new Italian joint has opened in Newtown, Sydney and it specialises in one type of pasta in particular – gnocchi.

The new gnoccheria specialises in pillowy soft gnocchi that is made the traditional way. As for sauces, there are plenty of pasta-bilities to choose from. Take your pick from beef bolognese, creamy basil pesto, mushroom and truffle sauce, pork and fennel Italian sausage, spicy tomato and black olive, and more.

Double down on the carbs with a loaf of buttery garlic bread or lighten the load with a fresh salad on the side. There’s also vegan and gluten-free gnocchi available, because nobody should have to miss out.
The whole menu is also available for takeaway, with specially curated gnocchi packs to see you through the lockdown.
It’s not an Italian feast without wine on the table. The restaurant pours out both spritz cocktails and vino on tap, including Prosecco, Rosato, Sangiovese, and more, as well as a more substantial offering by the bottle. There’s also Italian beers and soft drinks too.
