Now that deserves a celebration.
In news that will either make you feel hungry or old (or possibly both), this September marks the 10 year anniversary for Aussie restaurant icons the Three Blue Ducks.
And this month, you can join the celebration with a taste of their 2010 opening menu for one week only. And if you’re lucky (and speedy), you might even be able to snag yourself a seat at the birthday feast.

To remind you of how different things were back in 2010 (aka “the olden days”): Instagram launched in October, Uber went live in San Francisco in May and the first iPad was released in April. Peak nostalgia = achieved.

Founded by mates with a shared love of travel, new ideas and a desire to share a more sustainable approach to living, the business has grown from humble beginnings in Bronte to span five locations on the east coast, with a sixth coming to Melbourne in the latter half of 2020.
Needless to say, ten years is an incredible achievement for any restaurant, but in the wake of a tumultuous year for the hospitality industry, it is an occasion that feels even more deserving of a celebration.

Next Wednesday September 23rd, the ducks (Mark LaBrooy, Darren Robertson, Andy Allen, Chris Sorrell, Sam Reid-Boquist and Jeff Bennett) will come together to mark their tenth birthday with a very special dinner at the Rosebery venue, an feast which will see them cooking alongside some of their dearest friends and alumni including Luke Powell (LP’s Quality Meats), Mike Clift (ex Rockpool), Jemma Whiteman (Café Paci) and Shannon Debreceny (Victor Churchill).

Tickets for the four-course feast include welcome drinks on arrival, sparkling wines from Cape Jaffa and tall frosty glasses of goodness courtesy of the Young Henrys team. But with only 110 places available, they’re bound to sell out fast, so snag a spot early if you’re keen.
The Ducks will also be bringing back their 2010 Bronte opening menu for one week only. The time capsule dining experience is only available between 21st-27th September.

The menu will span breakfast, lunch and dinner with highlights including the crowd fave bacon and egg roll, calamari with smoked corn, twice-cooked chilli jam duck with spicy Chinese broccolini and a swoon-worthy smoked potato ice cream with chocolate cookie and dessert lime granita.
Reservations for the ten year anniversary dinner at Rosebery are available via phone (02) 9389 0010 or email enquiries@threeblueducks.com.
The Time Capsule Menu is available at the Bronte venue from September 21st to 27th, with bookings available on (02) 9389 0010.
