This cute bakery in Forestville is entirely vegan, managing to make everything from croissants to cheesecake without any eggs or dairy. Tuck in to a tasty spicy thai tofu pie, but make sure you leave room for one (or three) of their totally over-the-top vegan donuts.

- Café Chennai
Not wholly plant-based, but the menu at this great little Indian in Prospect is around fifty percent vegetarian, and offers choices for vegans too. Order the paneer butter masala, or, if you like things spicy, the vegetarian vindaloo.

This iconic restaurant at Adelaide Oval gets plant-based brownie points for its five and eight course vegetarian degustation menus. Naturally, the wine list is extensive and full of South Australia’s best winemakers.

With ethically sourced local produce and lots of vegetarian and vegan options, it is easy to see why this charming café in Trinity Gardens has a loyal following. They serve up winners like vegan french toast topped with poached apple and cherries, vanilla bean soy yoghurt and a crunchy crumble.
