Crown Melbourne’s newest venue, Ocean 12 (not to be confused with the American heist film) is so fabulously luxurious you might just run into George Clooney, Matt Damon and Julia Roberts while you’re there. Owned by the Golden Age Group, the new mega venue will be home to a whiskey bar, cigar lounge, a series of private karaoke rooms and a tapas restaurant.

If you feel like belting out a tune, the venue is equipped with 30 private karaoke rooms, from intimate spaces to large apartment-sized rooms. Would-be Celine Dions will have access to over 140,000 songs in six languages, including English, Chinese, Japanese, Korean and Khmer.

In partnership with Hennessy, the Ocean 12 whiskey lounge will serve over 400 whiskeys from classic drams to some of the world’s rarest tipples. Connoisseurs can settle in with a pour of Yamazaki Mizunara Oak Cask 18-Year-Old Single Malt Whiskey, Macallan Reflexion Single Malt Scotch Whiskey, Glenfarclas 1966 Fino Cask and Laphroaig 30-Year-Old Scotch Whiskey.

The venue will also include a tapas restaurant, which will serve a selection of Spanish and Asian-style small plates. Diners can expect offerings like chorizo lollipops with gorgonzola, squid ink paella and roasted pork ribs with chimichurri, as well as premium seafood, including oysters and caviar.

If you feel like sucking down a cigar, you’ll be able to head out to the private cigar lounge, where you can puff away while staring out across the Yarra River and city skyline. With a private bartender at your beck and call, you’ll be able to order from a menu that includes 60 of the finest Cuban cigars, including Hoyo de Monterrey Petit Robusto, Cohiba Siglo IV, Montecristo Montecristo No. 2 and H. Upmann Magnum 54.
