Dinosaur Designs, which is owned by husband and wife design team Stephen Ormandy and Louise Olsen, is synonymous with entertaining and their platters, bowls, plates and vases are featured on many tables.

The company is regarded world-wide, with stores in London and New York.

Impressively, the team creates stunning homeware products using resin – a by-product of stripping oil – which would have ended up in landfill otherwise.

“We love the juxtaposition between a man-made material and working with it in an earthy sense,” Louise told delicious.com.au in a previous interview.

“Every piece is handmade and takes many days to make. You really feel like you can touch each piece, it has a real human quality about it.

“But you need to remember that resin is a lot like wood and is for cold food, not hot, so they are the perfect vessel for salads.”

Meanwhile, when asked what the must-have plateware is for entertaining, Louise and Stephen said in unison: “Salad bowl! Servers.”

Dinosaur Designs also sells via Net-a-Porter and is the second highest selling homeware brand at Bergdorf Goodman.
