Lavazza Australia has teamed up with iconic Italian appliance maker Smeg to launch a stylish new custom-designed capsule machine so you can start the New Year armed with a very good cup of coffee.

Don’t be fooled by its 1950’s stylings, the retro espresso maker features a state-of-the-art A Modo Mio capsule delivery system.  Unlike other machines, which extract an espresso shot in 12–16 seconds, the A Modo Mio machines extract for 20–25 seconds for an overall richer, creamier taste.

As for the coffee itself, each capsule comes loaded with 7.5 grams of pre-tamped coffee, allowing water to pass through more evenly to maximise flavour and texture.

Lavazza A Modo Mio Smeg machine is available in red, black and cream. It retails for $349 from leading Australian retailers, including Harvey Norman and Lavazza.com.au.
