It's all about the classics and old-school jazz for this preserving king
When it comes to cooking, Mike McEnearney says it all starts with a record scratch. “Vinyl is a big part of our family life. My wife and I have three young boys, so it’s not an easy task to please all, particularly with my very eclectic taste.” Those tastes range from Bach’s Cello Suites to Chet Baker, with a little Pixies and Beatles mixed in.
In Mike’s kitchen, variation is king. His home kitchen is equipped with a turntable (that he “absolutely” sees as one of his cooking tools) but he knows when to leave the building. “I keep the stuff that I know [my wife and sons] don’t like for myself, plugged in with a good pair of cans.” Can puns from the preserving master!
