Metallics have been having a home wares moment – brushed silver serving bowls, high-shine champagne buckets and shimmering sterling drinks trays. So what’s the next step in this high-shine homewares trend? According to the agenda-setters at London-based product design house Tom Dixon, it’s copper.

The Tom Dixon design team has worked with this lustrous rose-hued metal in previous projects – there’s uber cool copper pendant lights, a cocktail shaker, door stoppers, tea light holders and the Tom Dixon designed 68-meter copper hull in luxe hotel Mondrian London. Now they’re bringing copper directly to the table with the recent launch of ‘Brew’. Brew is an eight piece copper-toned homage to the art of serving and drinking coffee. With a cafetiere, stovetop vessel, espresso cups, milk pan, coffee caddy, coffee scoop, biscuit tin and serving tray, it’s for the seriously stylish coffee enthusiast.
