Cult fragrance house Le Labo has been inspired by the mystical Palo Santo tree for this interiors scent. Fresh but warm all at once, the candle’s aroma is a combination of cedarwood and resinous labdanum, incense and patchouli. It also has a wellbeing component, with Palo Santo wood considered to banish negativity and misfortune (perfect during a rather depressing cold snap). Le Labo candles are hand-poured in Mississippi and are crafted from highly concentrated fragrance oils for a long-lasting scent (60 hours to be exact). Le Labo Palo Santo 14, $110, mecca.com.au.
