Best known for its silk scarves and now infamous Birkin bag, French luxury house Hermès has just released its latest homewares collection. And we want it all. Designed by Nigel Peake, the new porcelain collection takes its inspiration from the timeless elegance of English gardens, and features chequered and herringbone motifs in four subtle colours. “The garden is a place where shapes and colours grow. A place to let the imagination grow. A place to the let the imagination run free: beautiful, in its studied disorder,” Peake explains. The remainder of the 2018/19 Homes collection takes its cue from the urban landscape – think bricks, palisades and louvres. Then there’s the leather stationery goods, which nod back to the brand’s equestrian heritage. Extravagant paper placemats and coasters also make an appearance this year, because, well it is Hermès after all. Click through above to see the new collection.
