The iconic Aussie painter has landed a limited-edition dining line.

While John Olsen is most renowned for his landscapes, the famed Australian artist is just as passionate about his food as he is his painting. If the release of cookbook John Olsen: A Recipe for Art wasn’t enough to convince you, now John has turned his attention to tableware with the launch of a limited-edition line.

To cement the artistic touch of its creator, each piece will incorporate a reproduction of one of John’s sketches of fish and sea creatures. Mirroring John’s passion for the native landscape, the line of tableware has also been made from natural materials including sustainably sourced camphor laurel, hand-thrown stoneware, pure linen and hand-blown glass. The line’s been crafted in collaboration with local artisans JamFactory and Byron Bay Chopping Boards.

Created to accompany John’s latest exhibition at the Art Gallery of NSW, The You Beaut Country, the entertainer’s set will be available exclusively from the Gallery Shop at the gallery.
