How purchasing a piece from this chic ceramics collection can help women in need

Marloe Marloe may best be known for its angular vases that have made their way onto many an Instagram, or perhaps even the tableware that frequents the likes of Paper Daisy and Hellenika. But now the Gold Coast-based ceramics house has proven itself just as socially aware as it is aesthetically pleasing, launching a special five-piece capsule collection in ode to International Women’s Day.

The petite, rose-hued collection – dubbed Grace – will donate 30 percent of all sales to Australian women’s charity Share the Dignity from March 8 to April 30. The not-for-profit provides valuable funding and support to those experiencing domestic violence and homelessness, and continues to campaign for the justice of all those at risk.

The Grace collection sees five of Marloe Marloe’s most popular piece in a limited-edition pink lava glaze. Each item is small-batch produced, following a modern interpretation of traditional wheel-throwing and slip-casting techniques.

“I am passionate about emboldening and promoting women in all aspects of business,” says Marloe Marloe founder Marloe Morgan. “When I discovered Share the Dignity, I felt compelled to create something in an attempt to help – every Australian woman deserves refuge from domestic abuse or the right to sanitary products.

“Planning the launch to coincide with International Women’s Day was another way for us to celebrate the strength of women in our local community,” she explains.

The Grace collection is available for purchase exclusively on marloemarloe.com from March 8, 2019.
