If you’re looking to add more greens to your table, Hermès has just released a new dinnerware collection inspired by the Garden of Eden. Hand-painted on Limoges porcelain, the range promises to turn your table setting into an edible landscape, where fruits and leaves are consumed from unfurling fronds, ferns, and flowers.

This presentation plate reveals variegated, tiger-striped and iridescent leaves that mingle and overlap to create the impression of dense jungle foliage.

The passion flower is one of the collection’s main motifs and its star-shaped florals and tendril-bearing vines can be found entwined throughout the collection.

Certain pieces, including the teacups and teapots, feature hand-painted decoration on intricate, narrow, curved and interior parts, pointing to the high-quality craftsmanship of the range.

Like a solar halo, all pieces are encircled by a fine band of gold that represents the sun.

The Passifolia collection will be available to buy from Hermès stores from April 2020.
