Chicken-flavoured Cheezels are finally here and we’re not really sure how we feel about it. For better or worse, the classic cheese-flavoured Cheezels have welcomed their weird cousin into the roost according to a recent post on Instagram user @nectoriouspapi’s feed.

For those who sit firmly on the chicken chips side of the fence, welcome to your new obsession. For those who prefer the cheesy side, take a deep breath.

While some snackers may be singing the praises of the Chicken Cheezels, others may be justifiably scratching their heads. Given that Cheezels has the word “cheez” in it, not everyone is ready to embrace that poultry-infused goodness. In any case, variety is the spice of life and you can’t stop progress.

Speaking of spice, the post also revealed the addition of Cheezels Hot Rods, a jalapeno and cheese-flavoured variation. Following in the footsteps of Twisties, which recently introduced a Spicy Ramen flavour and a half-chicken-half-cheese pack, the Chicken and Hot Rod Cheezles are bringing a new edge to beer garden favourites.

We don’t have a landing date yet, just a nebulous ‘coming soon’ however we’ll be heading straight to the shops in the name of science the minute the new snacks hit shelves.
