Pack your bags.
This June, as we all continue to fantasise about international travel, we’re taking your tastebuds on a world tour, with our freshly baked new global issue.
Sharing recipes and food is an incredible way to happily and safely transport ourselves anywhere in the world, and autumn is the ideal time to do so.

There’s plenty of ways to escape in this issue. From Yotam Ottolenghi’s twist on paella, to Anjum Anand’s secret recipes for Indian family favourites. From Danielle Alvarez’s iconic Cuban meals with soul, through to Kylie Kwong’s seasonal favourites, you’ll want to take your time and savour every single page.

Kylie Kwong serves up a preview of her new South Eveleigh eatery, Lucky Kwong, complete with mind-blowing dishes like stir-fried hokkien noodles with Asian mushrooms and five-spice tofu salad with potato, fresh black fungus and native bush mint.

Phoebe Wood’s noodle soup troupe will add a little spice and comfort to any meal. Among the recipes, you’ll find Malaysian prawn laksa, miso soba with soy sauce eggs and an epic Thai chicken khao soi.

Danielle Alvarez brings heart and soul to the table with her down-to-earth and flavour packed Cuban dishes, including ropa vieja (shredded beef with vegetables) and pastelitos de queso y piña (cream cheese and pineapple pastries).

When it comes to comfort food, you won’t be able to go past Darren Robertson’s Best of British. The updated childhood faves include creamy fish pie with mushy peas and celeriac remouloade, curry pastries, and a berry and finger lime Eton mess which is guaranteed to blow your mind.

But that’s not all! In Spice Tales, Anas Atassi shares the flavours of his beloved home, Syria. Family Ties is overflowing with Anjum Anand’s Indian family favourites. Red Hot Go is a whirlwind tour of the hottest global cuisines. Through Korea to Tunisia via Europe and South East Asia, Kirsten Jenkins serves up a hefty flavour punch.

For the sweet tooths, Food Editor Georgina Esdaile dishes up a big dollop of sweet Scandi baking, including Citronmåne (Danish lemon moon cake), Choklad Kardemummabullar (Swedish chocolate and cardamom buns) and Fedtebrød (Danish coconut shortbread biscuits).

There’s plenty to soothe your wanderlust in our new Travel+Luxury section, including all of Melbourne’s hottest new restaurant and café openings; a gastronomic odyssey in Greece’s Cyclades and Stockholm’s coolest new neighbourhood.
Plus, restaurant reviews, insider news, all our regular features: Critic and the Comic, In Season, the Chef and the Butcher, and loads more.
