The first ever Bunnings Warehouse rave is happening in Melbourne this month

Lowest prices really are just the beginning.

Melbourne is about to get a whole lot groovier at the end of this month with Australia’s very first Bunnings rave, and it’s set to be a ripper.

Hosted by Aussie electronic legends Peking Duk, the rave will take over the Preston Bunnings car park, transforming the hardware store into a dance paradise. As if going to Bunnings wasn’t enough of a thrill, now you can get down and dirty on the temporary dancefloor.

The seed for the rave was planted when a bunch of Australian artists started remixing the Bunnings jingle on social media and things quickly got out of hand – in the best possible way. The DIY campaign will mix Australia’s unofficial mascot – Bunnings – with beats by NayNay, Kaila, What So Not, and Lottie, who is also a Bunnings team member.

But this rave isn’t just about having a blast; it’s also a fundraiser for a great cause. All the cash raised will go to Support Act, a not-for-profit that helps out folks in the music industry who are going through tough times. Whether it’s crisis relief or mental health support, Support Act has got the back of those who keep the party going.

In the name of mental health support, the event will be alcohol-free and open to all ages (under 16s must be accompanied by a parent or guardian but it shouldn’t be hard to convince Dad to start a DIY project). Tickets are $30 and can be purchased here.

Oh, and yes, obviously there will be a sausage sizzle.

When and where is the Bunnings Rave happening?

The Bunnings Rave will run from 5:00pm-8:30pm on August 31 at Preston Bunnings Warehouse. Tickets are available via Moshtix.
