Aussie supermarket cheese corn chips ranked from corn-tastic to less than a-maize-ing

From popcorn to polenta, soft drinks to tortillas, corn is everywhere. And while I enjoy a butter-covered cob grilled on the barbecue as much as anyone, there’s no corn delivery vehicle I love more than a chip.  Whether eaten straight from the bag, cracked open with a jar of salsa or covered with beans, cheese, guac and sour cream, corn chips are the ultimate savoury snack food. Take a wander down the chip aisle of the supermarket and you’ll see new brands and flavours of the beloved orange triangle appearing all the time.   But with all these corny choices, which chips are cheesiest, and which kernels should have stayed on the cob? I chomped my way through all the corn chips I could fit into my shopping basket to find the best cheese flavour, consistency and crunch of the bunch. Here are my corn-clusions, from worst to best.
