ALDI Australia has proudly clinched the prestigious blue ribbon, emerging as the Overall Large Chain Champion at the 2024 World Series of the Golden Bean Awards for the exceptional quality of its Lazzio coffee beans. The accolade heralds ALDI’S Lazzio coffee as the finest in the Overall Large Chain Champion category, globally.

The Golden Bean competition stands as the world’s most extensive coffee roasting contest, attracting the absolute crema of the coffee roasting world. The competition’s World Series is a peak of a rigorous contest between the Northern and Southern hemispheres, aimed at identifying the ultimate roasting champion. This year’s competition sorted through over 2,500 entries vying for the top spot.

ALDI Lazzio Range

ALDI Australia’s Lazzio coffee, roasted by Melbourne’s Black Bag Roasters, has consistently been recognised as Australia’s premier coffee, having secured the top position at the Australian Golden Bean Awards in 2019, 2020, 2021, and 2022. This year’s victory at the World Series is a first for Lazzio coffee, a reminder to the rest of the world that what we do, we do it well.

The Lazzio range, exclusively available at ALDI, includes the Lazzio Medium and Dark Coffee Beans, Ground Coffee in both medium and dark roasts, the environmentally conscious Lazzio Organic Ground Coffee, and the Single Origin beans from Brazil and Colombia.
