Australia’s favourite snack is lightening up.

With more Aussies actively seeking out healthier choices at the supermarket, Arnott’s has heeded the call, releasing a new, lighter version of the classic savoury bickie range, Shapes

This comes off the back of research commissioned by Arnott’s, which found that 46 percent of Aussies say they like balancing healthy choices with treats, while 38 percent say they try to balance being healthy while still enjoying themselves when choosing snacks.

How many calories are in Shapes Light & Crispy?

To cater to this new generation of ‘healthy-ish’ snackers, Shapes Light & Crispy oven-baked biscuits offer a crunchy satisfying snack that’s just a little bit better for you. They contain 50 percent less saturated fat and 25 percent less sodium than regular Shapes, although they still contain almost as many calories per serving as original Shapes, clocking in at just under 120 calories per 25 grams, while regular Shapes sit at around 120-125 calories per 25g serving. So while you’re cutting back on ‘bad’ fats and salt, you’re not really reducing your energy intake.

The new Light & Crispy range has launched in four flavours – Sour Cream & Chives, Balsamic Vinegar & Sea Salt, Honey Soy Chicken and Cheddar Cheese.

Shapes Light & Crispy are available in supermarkets now, with an RRP of $4.00.
