Coming in hot.
Christmas has come early for tradies. Say goodbye to cold lunches and hello to Makita’s new wireless portable microwave. This nifty device will make heating up lunches on worksites and for those on the go that much easier.
Now let’s talk shop. The 9.9kg microwave has an 8L capacity and is powered by a rechargeable 40V Max XGT battery with dual battery terminals for extended runtime. In layman’s terms, there’s enough power there to reheat and defrost meals. On average, a fully charged battery should be able to heat around 11 lunches. Makita also promises that the microwave will heat food without any hot or cold spots.

It’s also durable to withstand a worksite. It’s dust and water resistant so you don’t have to worry about it being exposed. The door is also made from tempered glass so it won’t break easily. You can also use the USB output port to charge your mobile while you eat lunch. A handy LED display panel indicates microwave power, preset heating time and battery charge. Best of all, there’s a handle that means you can carry it around with you to the part of the site you’re working.
For the Aussie market, Makita will also throw in a free microwave toastie maker that makes the perfect toasted sandwich with zero fuss in five minutes.
But deliciously hot meals don’t come cheap. Makita’s wireless portable microwave will set you back $999.
