What sweet treats are lurking in the desk drawers of the delicious. team members?
The delicious. team are just as susceptible to 3pm sugar cravings as everyone else. When we’re not snacking on killer creations from our food team (hello, Phoebe’s amazing naked pumpkin pie cheesecake), these are the sweet treats we reach for first.
Caitlin Griffith-Pecset, editorial coordinator/assistant producer: The chewy caramel goodness of Milk Duds is unbeatable; great on their own but add them to hot buttery popcorn to take your movie-snack game to the next level.
Heidi Finnane, chief subeditor/features writer: Tiny Tots for that sweet and sour hit, sugar dusted is best!
Shannon Harley, managing editor: I’m a sucker for chocolate and Pana Chocolate sugar-free goji & coconut bar allays my guilt!
David Matthews, senior subeditor/social media editor: Any gummy lollies like Haribo golden bears, or snakes. I could eat a whole packet. When I used to work as a chef and hardly eat all day, the waiters would come and leave bags of lollies on the pass and we would absolutely demolish them.
Kerrie McCallum, editor-in-chief: Cherry Ripes or Bounty. Anything combining chocolate and coconut.
Sharnee Rawson, online news editor: Anything crunchy. Chocolate coated coffee beans are my vice. I forget that there’s caffeine in them and end up bouncing in my chair.
Karen Rubin, art editor: I can’t go past Lindt dark chocolate with sea salt – not too sweet, not too salty, just the perfect mix.
Lauren Sams, digital editor: Red frogs! I loooooove red frogs. I ate them every day in primary school, I reckon (how did I not get sick?) and I now steal them from my daughter’s lolly bags at parties. Yes, I am that mother.
Josie Taylor, senior designer: It’s not the coolest or most popular choice but I am a big fan of fruit & nut chocolate – it’s a classic combo.
Phoebe Wood, senior food editor: Sour strawberry straps. I like a lolly that makes the mouth pucker.
John Hannan, content producer: Chocolate bullets and liquorice allsorts – chocolate plus liquorice and the chew factor is a winner.
