When grilled chicken is your life.
Personally, if we were going to run a red light for fast food (not that we would), it would be for fried chicken. For one driver in Western Australia though, the calling for Nando’s was just too great to resist hitting the brakes on his Hyundai in the suburb of Wanneroo in Perth yesterday.
When confronted by police, the man simply explained he was taking his kids to the fast food outlet, with officers citing on the ticket, “I’m in a rush to get the kids Nando’s.”
Nandos Chicken is good but lives are put at risk every time you drive through a RED TCL, there simply is no excuse!!!#teg3 pic.twitter.com/myurrBcRwU

Penalised with a $300 fine, the driver, unfortunately, didn’t quite get the budget-friendly meal he thought he was going to. For the same amount he could have dined at some of Perth’s finest establishments- we’d recommend Co-Op Dining or the newly opened Wildflower.
Remember, while some might argue nuggets are worth running a red light, let us remind you they aren’t. Instead, take our word for it and try one our takes on popular fast food recipes, from our Portuguese chicken burger to our fried chicken with coleslaw or our famous paleo nachos.
