The recommended serving size is 2-6, but realistically it’s single-serve.

It might seem counterintuitive for a gelato shop to launch a dessert that requires actual cooking, but if we know anything about the team at Gelato Messina, it’s that they absolutely love to push a boundary. And why stay cold when you can get exceptionally cosy?

The gelato gods have officially relaunched their legendary Cookie Pie for the chilly season, and this year’s flavour combination is a masterpiece. In winters past, these gooey desserts have been studded with all kinds of wild additions (last year’s Tony’s Chocolonely collab still lives rent-free in our minds). But this year, the team has tapped into everyone’s favourite Belgian snack: Biscoff.

Messina has taken its signature cookie dough, infused it with rich, gooey dulce de leche, and topped the whole thing with a generous mountain of Biscoff crumb. We’ll take two.

The Messina Biscoff Cookie Pie is available all winter long, from May 29 through to August 31.

Where can I buy the Gelato Messina Cookie Pie?

Additional gelato is highly recommended.

How much does the Gelato Messina Cookie Pie cost?

The standalone pie will set you back $28. However, science dictates that no hot cookie pie is truly complete without a generous scoop of freezing-cold gelato melting over the top. To help you achieve maximum dessert synergy, Messina is offering some pretty sweet bundle deals:

  • Cookie Pie + 500ml gelato tub: $44 (save $3)

  • Cookie Pie + 1L gelato tub: $55 (save $5)

  • Cookie Pie + 1.5L gelato tub: $60 (save $7)

And an FYI on the DIY: this designed-to-share treats comes frozen – just bake it at home for 18-20 minutes, before resting for a further 10 minutes.
