Gold wrapper, chocolate exterior and a whole roasted hazelnut centre; Ferrero Rocher’s are the fancy pants of Australia’s standard chocolate bar line-up.

Now Americans are flipping out that Hershey’s have developed a new version of their Kiss chocolate that is double the size of the original, with a whole roasted hazelnut centre and – wait for it- a gold wrapper. Hmm, sound familiar?

For the uninitiated, original Kisses are a tear drop-shaped super sweet American milk chocolate that look like this:

And the new Kisses Deluxe look like this:

There’s one small difference – rather than the hazelnut-embedded chocolate coating on a Ferrero, these babies are studded with rice crispies. We’re still not convinced.  #teamferrero
