McDonald’s Easter menu just dropped and it’s nice as pie.

People might think that chocolate is the main star of Easter and they would be wrong. In my world the real star of Easter are hot cross buns. And it looks like McDonald’s agrees. The fast-food chain just dropped its limited-time-only Easter menu that includes two new items: a Hot Cross Bun Flavoured Pie and Hot Cross Bun Flavoured McFlurry.

The Hot Cross Bun Flavoured Pie is made with crispy cinnamon pastry that is filled with a spiced-fruit mix and butter-flavoured custard filling. The best bit? It costs just $2. Which, quite frankly, is much cheaper than an chocolate Easter bunny at the moment.

The Hot Cross Bun Flavoured McFlurry has two options for the soft serve base: vanilla and chocolate. It is then topped with crunchy cinnamon pastry pieces that are filled with a spiced-fruit mix and butter-flavoured custard. To finish it off, caramel sauce is drizzled on top.

McDonald’s Easter menu also includes a new Hot Honey Range, which will see some menu favourites get a sweet and spice upgrade. The Hot Honey McSpicy and Hot Honey McCrispy burgers will now feature a drizzle of the sweet and sticky hot honey sauce. If you prefer McNuggets to burgers, you can order Hot Honey Sauce to dip them.

Both the Hot Honey and Hot Cross Bun ranges will be available in restaurants from Wednesday, March 19 via drive thru, kiosk, front counter or the MyMacca’s app. You know where to find us this Wednesday.

When will the Hot Cross Bun Flavoured Pie and McFlurry be available?

Aussies will be able to get their hands on McDonald’s Hot Cross Bun Flavoured Pie and McFlurry from Wednesday, March 19.
