KitchenAid has introduced a new Colour of the Year to its portfolio, and it’s inviting you to step into the fresher side of life. Meet Spearmint.

This refreshing minty-green hue is designed to bring a sense of calm and revitalising energy to the chaos of the everyday. At a time when the pace of the world has never seemed more frenetic, Spearmint encourages you to pause, take a moment and just breathe. In… And out… Ahhh. Doesn’t that feel better?

The new shade also comes with a new textural finish: Sand. This tactile, sandy finish provides a smooth and soothing touch that’s never too harsh or demanding. You know, like your boss is. It’s the perfect emotional support stand mixer. Bring it to work with you. We would understand.

According to Chad Ries, global brand marketing director at KitchenAid Small Appliances, “Spearmint invites individuals to be present, promotes a refreshing state of mind, and symbolises positive growth and renewal, embodying a return to self.” It can do all that, and make cakes, too. 

Spearmint is the eighth edition of the KitchenAid Colour of the Year program. KitchenAid has championed the power of colour to fuel creativity since introducing their first stand mixer colours back in 1955. Today, the brand’s Colour of the Year taps into global trends to capture the zeitgeist, and to inspire makers and bakers around the world.

“When identifying this year’s colour, we were driven by a desire to refresh the senses and find a moment of clarity,” says Brittni Pertijs, colour, finish and material manager at Whirlpool. “Spearmint breathes life into a space, filling it with a soothing yet invigorating energy. 

“With this year’s Colour of the Year selection, we’re also adding a new Sand finish to our portfolio, which has a subtle, grounding warmth that feels reminiscent of baking, cooking and the moments we spend creating in the kitchen. Making Spearmint a colour you don’t just see, but feel.”
