There are some flavours from childhood that are forever catalogued as – what we like to call them – ‘core flavours’. Core flavours are like core memories where the taste of a flavour takes you back to that time and place you ate it. The core flavours that made up my childhood were Sunnyboy’s, musk sticks, Boomy’s and really any lolly you could get your hands on for 50c at the corner store. 

Thankfully, some of these foods are still around. Sadly though, some are not. Cue: Paddle Pop’s Blast from the Past range. Streets Ice Cream will re-release some of Paddle Pop’s most-loved discontinued flavours back for a limited time. For the latest Blast from the Past range Streets is bringing back not one, but two, retro flavours.

Vanilla and Bionic Bubble Gum will be returning to shelves for a limited run and a good dose of nostalgia. Every bite will take you back to summer days filled with hotly contested games of ‘backyard Ashes’, outdoor barbecues, and the staticky sound of the local radio station playing in the background, ads and all. 

Ah, the good ole days.
