Unlike some other liqueurs (peach schnapps, anyone?), Baileys Irish Cream has stood the test of time. Your nanna loves it, but so does your 16-year-old niece, which means as long as humans continue to exist, Baileys will always have a solid fan base waiting in the wings.

But even those of us in the middle, who might prefer something a tad more refined for a nightcap, would have to get a little excited about this news: frozen dessert queen Sara Lee has dropped two new Baileys-inspired desserts for the festive season – a chocolate pudding with Baileys sauce, and a baked cheesecake with a Baileys topping.

It’s the perfect way to evoke two fond childhood memories in one fell swoop – of Mum dishing up Sara Lee for dessert on Saturdays, and of you necking Grandma’s glass of Baileys when she nods off after lunch.

The new Sara Lee desserts are expected to be on sale soon at all major supermarkets for $12.
