The perk: half-price Tim Tams for you.
The age-old debate of where to store chocolate may never be resolved. Some like theirs in the pantry so it’s soft ‘n’ gooey, melted slightly (or a lot) by the hot Australian sun. Others swear by the protection (and texture) of the fridge. Now, a new and influential player has entered the chat: biscuit baron Arnott’s – the inventor of many iconic Aussie bikkies, including the Tim Tam.
Created in 1964, Tim Tams have always been stocked in the ‘room-temperature’ produce aisle of supermarkets, but from now until January 28, you’ll find sleeves of these chocolate biscuits in both the refrigerator section and the pantry aisle of Woolworths – for the first time ever.

Arnott’s about-face doesn’t come without its perks. The Aussie brand has decided to halve the price of five Tim Tam flavours to just $3 at select Woolworths stores across Australia. So, you can stroll into your local Woolies and pick up an OG, Double Coat, Chewy Caramel, Dark or White pack for pocket change.
While the experts (AKA Arnott’s) work on expanding the boundaries of storage, it’s you, dear reader, who decides the outcome of the debate.
The argument’s not just bilateral, either – deep-fryers, freezers and frying pans aren’t out of the question. But, for the sake of brevity, we’ll leave it to you to decide the winner.
In the meantime, happy Tim Tam slamming.
