Somebody fed the models

Robyn Lawley

The model diet taking the catwalk world by storm. And it involves actual food.

Time was, models were known for subsisting on Diet Coke, cigarettes and the generosity of older men with dubious motives. But nowadays it’s not enough to just be a supermodel – you’ve gotta have a plan. And for some models, that plan is food. And lots of it.

There’s Aussie supermodel Robyn Lawley, who, in between selfies and pics of her adorable baby girl Ripley, posts snaps of food, glorious food on her Instagram account. She blogs at robynlawleyeats.tumblr and has released her first cookbook (there’s another on the way). Like Robyn, Chrissy Teigen is known as much for her Sports Illustrated covers as she is for being everyone’s favourite gal pal – and all great gal pals love to eat, right? Teigen blogs at sodelushious.com, and, dubious spelling aside, it’s great. Peppered with glimpses into her home life with John Legend, the recipes are impressive but relevant – and girl knows (and loves) her junk food. We’re on board.

Chrissy’s also hosted a few Cooking Channel specials, and an MTV show about… um, snacks (because, MTV). She’s now co-hosting Lip Sync Battle, but we predict a return to cooking shows for the supe – she’s like an American Nigella (and we mean that in the best way). Doing her bit for the Brits is Jourdan Dunn, who has her own Youtube show called (what else?) Well Dunn. Occasionally, celeb guests like Cara Delevingne stop by to help Dunn make sweet and sour prawns. And speaking of celeb besties who love food, finally, there’s Karlie Kloss, the world’s nicest supermodel who also does a side trade in baking. Her Kookies (again, what else would they be called?) are a collab with Momofuku Milk Bar, and by all reports, they’re as sweet as she is.
